At Clean Lakes Alliance, we work for our lakes all year long. Keep reading to learn five great ways YOU can get involved with the watershed this winter and support cleaner, healthier lakes!
1. Get your early bird tickets to Frozen Assets before they’re gone!
Frozen Assets is the premier fundraising event for our lakes, raising nearly $150,000 every year to support on-the-ground projects, educational programs, and water quality monitoring. Not to mention a night full of FUN for our lakes.
Frozen Assets :: Winter Carnaval

2. Ride a sleigh, roast s’mores, and more on Lake Mendota
The fifth annual Frozen Assets Festival
will take place at The Edgewater and on Lake Mendota in Madison, Wisconsin on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, February 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, 2019.
We’ll have FREE family-friendly activities indoors and outdoors all weekend long including pond hockey, curling, figure skating, and more. Don’t forget to warm up with free s’mores and hot chocolate while you watch colorful kites soar above the lake! Click here to learn more.
3. Run or walk ENTIRELY on a frozen lake
Join us for the Frozen Assets 5K Run/Walk
on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 to shake up your routine and see Madison from a whole new perspective! All proceeds directly benefit work to protect and improve our lakes.

4. Bike under the stars in our Fat Bike Race
Join us on Friday, February 1st, 2019 for this high-energy bike race on frozen Lake Mendota! We’re offering fat bike, junior, and open divisions where any bike is allowed. Free headlamp included with registration courtesy of Rayovac!

5. Volunteer to connect people with the lakes
